Delator de Sueños Bonarda 2022 captures the essence of Argentina's underrated Bonarda grape, showcasing an intense purple hue with violet-blue edges. On the nose, it reveals enticing aromas of pit fruits, plum, raspberry, red flowers, and subtle hints of eucalyptus. Crafted from grapes harvested at the La Soñada Estate in the Uco Valley, this wine boasts a velvety texture and sweet tannins, balanced by refreshing acidity. Aged for five months in neutral oak, it offers a harmonious blend of density and freshness. With only 466 cases produced, this Bonarda is a rare find, perfectly complementing dishes like red meats, pastas with red sauces, and a variety of flavorful cheeses.

About the grape: "Some are mostly acquainted with the bonardas with deep color and a vibrant, floral, fruit-forward nose with the same fruity exuberance on the palate coated with smooth tannin and moderate alcohol. These are all testimonies of a grape that suits either a blend with a more monolithic malbec, or on its own, destined for a relaxed gathering with good food and hearty laughter. At its best, especially from the older vines on elevated areas, such as this wine, bonarda tends to show a tad more tautness with serious depth and structure that tunes into its vivaceous, morello cherry and juicy, plummy fruit without having either taxing jamminess or the underripe herbaceous overtones. Think of barbera mixed with a textured gamay/Beaujolais."

This wine family, led by Luis Soria (winemaker) and Gonzalo Testa (Viticulturist), grew up in the vineyards and is sharing with us some amazing wines. On several occasions we have had the honor of sharing an asado (bbq) with these families and enjoyed their wines together. Not only are they one of the most likable families around, all of their wine is of excellent quality. It was very, very difficult to pick only four wines to import.

Winemaker Notes
Winemaker: Luis Soria. Born in Tunuyán, located in the prestigious wine-growing area of the Uco Valley in Argentina, he took his first steps as a plant operator in a local winery at just 18 years of age. It was there that he discovered his love for the land, grapes, and wines. This prompted him to pursue a formal education in the field, obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Enology and Viticulture at the prestigious Juan Agustín Maza University, Mendoza, Argentina. After completing his academic training, he began to forge his career in various renowned wineries and companies such as- The Vines of Mendoza, Corazon del Sol, and Michell Rolland Wines. Additionally, he expanded his horizon by working abroad, gaining valuable experience in the United States, specifically in Willamette Valley, Oregon, and Napa Valley, California. Luis, a quickly rising star in the Argentinian wine industry, decided to embark on his own path as an oenological advisor and founded, together with his partners, of three wineries in the Uco Valley that bear his distinctive seal: Chañar Lorenzo Estate Winery, Delator de Sueños Wines y Dharma Wines. These projects represent his vision for the creation of exceptional and unique wines, reflecting the diversity and quality that characterizes the region.
